Mid-Summer Madness has come and gone for another year. We had a successful 80s-themed birthday party for Jan, who was celebrating his 80th birthday on the actual date of Mid-Summer Madness (July 17) and we would be remiss if we didn’t show some photos. The bottle birthday cake was delicious (as a fan of chocolate, it did not disappoint) and the 80s attire was in full swing, as shown below.
If anyone has any photos of the day that they would like to submit, we will gladly accept (and give photo credit!) to those offering up their pictorial contributions. Send ‘em on over!
We thank everyone who attended for joining us in our celebration and we hope y’all got a chance to taste our barrel samples and Hommage wines!

Earlier in June, a group came out to Wine Country to take part in a photography workshop and we had the pleasure of hosting a wine tasting event for them on their last day of the workshop. I have to say that, as a gal who digs technology, I was jealous of the work they were getting to do and the tricks they were learning! I’m a Photoshop novice at best, but after seeing some of the results, I want to learn how to do some of these things! This is so much cooler than using Photoshop to get rid of red eyes in photos!
Check out this amazing shot Doug Landreth created from a photo of the group taken in our courtyard following their tasting:
They did some shooting in and around the Napa Valley even prior to holding their workshop and the results were awesome. I definitely suggest checking out some of Doug’s work on his blog and see if you notice some Napa Valley landmarks!

Every so often at Clos Pegase, we have some pretty killer musical talents in the house. For one particular private event, one of the guests happened to be country singer/songwriter Radney Foster and he also happened to bring his guitar. After checking out our cave theatre, everyone at Clos Pegase was uber impressed when he went acoustic and belted out a single song, which he thought might sound pretty awesome with the cave acoustics. He was definitely not wrong. Take a listen to his unreleased song:Radney Foster - If You'll Have Me.mp3
I too, have tried out the acoustics in the cave (for the sake of everyone’s ears, only when by myself) and I can assure you, Radney Foster sounds much better. Like, light years better. He’s welcome back anytime.
