Experimenting with Watercolors

As a prelude to the Jan & Mitsuko Wine and Art Education Foundation, Clos Pegase, in coordination with acclaimed watercolorist, instructor and author, Barbara Nechis, will be hosting a workshop for all art lovers called Experimenting with Watercolor – beginners are welcome (drawing a straight line is not required!). The workshop will take place at Clos Pegase on Saturday, October 2 from 1:30pm – 3:30pm.

The first of many similar art-inspired workshops to be held at Clos Pegase, Experimenting with Watercolor will give participants a chance to learn interesting techniques for painting skies, water, trees, correcting mistakes, texture and abstract forms. Participants will have lots of time to experiment with watercolor, salt, saran wrap for mono printing, ink, water soluble crayons and pencils and much more to create their own masterpieces. The group will then proceed across the street to Barbara’s studio for a tour and lesson in framing. The workshop will conclude with a tour of Clos Pegase and a tasting of our estate wines.

The workshop is $45 per person for wine club members (and one guest) and only $65 per person for the general public. This includes a nifty little palette and archival mat to take home, as well as the course instruction, the tour of Barbara’s studio, a tour of the Clos Pegase facility and a private wine tasting. Complimentary paints, paper, brushes and other supplies will be available for use at the workshop. Space is limited to 20 people, so reserve your palette now by calling 707.942-9481 or emailing us at tenma@clospegase.com.
