Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an appointment to visit Clos Pegase?
Appointments are not necessary to visit, however if you have a large group (10 guests or more), we require advance notice for a tour or a private tasting. For larger groups, please contact us at 707-942-4981 so that we may reserve our private tasting area in order to better accomodate your group.
Do you charge for tastings? What should we expect?
We offer different tasting options, all for a nominal fee, and the tasting flights vary by wine preference. We currently offer a tasting flight of five of our estate wines, which includes two of our lighter-styled rosé or white wines, along with three of our fabulous red wines. We also have a Dessert Wine Tasting, in which our guests can sample of Late-Harvest Chardonnay and our Portico (Port wine). While we don't offer food or snack items for sale in the Visitor's Center, we do have picnic grounds and guests are welcome to bring their own nibbles.
Do you offer any special tastings?
We do offer special tastings, including a Connoisseurs' Tour and Tasting which includes a cave tour and a private tasting of four exclusive wines, including our Reserve "Hommage" wines. (Min. of 2 people accepted for this package). We also offer our Girls' Weekend Tour & Tasting package which includes a cave tour, private tasting and a fabulous "Girls Weekend" logo goody bag with our exclusive logo merchandise. (Min. of 4 people accepted for this package). For the Gentlemen, too, we have our Guys' Weekend Tour & Tasting package, which includes a logo glass. (Sorry, no cute logo merchandise included!)

How should I store my wine?
Wine is a perishable product and must be handled carefully. Extreme temperature changes can damage your wines. If traveling by car to the Napa Valley during the warm weather season, we recommend bringing a cooler for transportation.
