We love visitors! And we invite you to experience first hand how our unique combination of wine, art and architecture can make your visit to the wine country truly memorable.

The Tour Starts Here! Our Visitor Center is open daily, with guided tours of the winery for a fee at 11:30am-The Clos Pegase Experience, including our caves & art collection (all ages welcome); and 2:00pm-The Artisan Tour, a cave tour and Cabernet Tasting Experience (limited seating, age 21 yrs or older only). We offer a variety of tasting options for a nominal fee and walk-in tastings are easily accommodated. Though reservations are generally not necessary, we do require advance reservations for parties of 10 or more. To schedule a group tour or tasting appointment, please call 707.942.4981. If you prefer to wander around the grounds at your leisure, we have a self-guided art tour of the pieces in and around the winery. You're welcome to preview the self-guided tour here, or print it out in anticipation of your visit to Clos Pegase!

Private Tasting and Tour Options

In order to ensure availability, we kindly ask for advance reservations if you wish to enjoy any of the private tasting and tour options below.

Our Group Tour and Tasting package includes the complete art and winery tour, followed by a private tasting of our Estate Releases in the beautiful Cask Room, overlooking the courtyard. Approximately 90 minutes.

The Private Tasting Only is no tour, just a private tasting of our Estate Releases. Approximately 45 minutes.

Our Cabernet Connoisseur Tasting focuses solely on Cabernet Sauvignon. Guests will enjoy a sit-down tasting with appropriately paired fruits and cheese. The four-wine tasting flight features three different Cabernet current releases as well as a library release Reserve Cabernet. Following a tour of our wine-ageing caves, guests will also take home a tasting journal to keep personal tasting notes.

Please Note: One method of payment is required for all booked tours and/or tastings. A credit card is required to hold the reservation; the group won't be charged until the day of the appointment. Minimum private group tour and/or tasting charges may apply and vary based on desired tour & tasting package. We require a 24-hour notice for all bookings and a signed confirmation with a credit card to hold the reservation. Cancellations within 7 days of the appointment will be billed for the expected number of guests.


If you're looking for a little bite to eat with your tour & tasting, we invite you to take a look at our Events page for casual lunch options that only require 48 hours notice. If you prefer to bring your own nibbles, our beautiful picnic facility sits adjacent to the vineyards in the shady canopy of our walnut trees. The picnic grounds are reserved for Clos Pegase wine patrons with prior notice, though same-day accommodations can sometimes be arranged. Directions to Clos Pegase

Located in the heart of Napa Valley, 90 minutes north of San Francisco and two miles south of historic Calistoga.
From Hwy 101:

  • Take the Hwy 37 exit to Hwy 121
  • Turn left onto Hwy 121 to Hwy 29.
  • Turn left (north) at Hwy 29 and continue toward Calistoga
  • Turn right on Dunaweal Lane

From I-80

  • Take Napa turnoff in Vallejo, follow signs to Hwy 29
  • Turn right (north) at Hwy 29
  • Follow signs for "Calistoga, 29 North."
  • Continue north on Hwy 29 towards Calistoga.
  • Turn right on Dunaweal Lane.

We are open daily, 10:30am-5:00pm. Reservations are not required, though recommended for groups of 10 of more.
